I figured I start this blog with a word, concept, an expression that everyone from all walks of life should be familiar with.
Love.
Before I delve into it let me give you a little background about me.
I'm just a twenty something year old guy with (thankfully) a job that allows me to have a lot of time on my hands to think, and think, and think about a lot of stuff that goes on in my life and the life around me. Naturally I've developed a mindset that because I think deeply about a lot of stuff I am more than qualified to speak about them and deliver them to an audience to educate them since they don't think about stuff like I do. (lol)
All jokes aside I do think I think deeply about stuff generally in a macro sense and more often than not, a logical sense as well. Do I believe I'm qualified to educate? Absolutely not. As self-conscious as I am I expect there to be flaws and arguments against my assertion on array of different things. Thus my reasoning for dishing my take on things isn't necessarily to educate but to create healthy dialogue. Too many times opinions are given without it and to me it's counter productive to our growth as human beings. So with that being said I really welcome comments on my posts, no matter who you are in my own little space in the cyber-world.
So back to it.
In my humble opinion love is giving or expressing to one or more when it isn't deserved and especially when it's not deserved . It's patient in grievances and not lashing out in anger especially when it's (felt) deserved. Love isn't love without grace and mercy.
I've heard it said many times before that love is more than a feeling and that it must be shown with action.
Although I agree with that, I assert that though love is more than feelings it certainly isn't less than feelings either.
I think true love is a synergy of action and feelings. To me having one without the other is false.
But this is just my opinion.
What say you?
